This leaves me to wonder, that these releases should be happening soon, right? The day of November 18^th is approaching quickly, so how much longer should we be expected to wait for the final leak?

Let’s recap what they have released thus far –

Starters + Designs

We know the starters, their names, designs, and abilities. The designs are interesting for starters, yet not different from the typing they are listed under. Who will you choose for your starter, or are you waiting for the final evolutions before you make this choice?

The Region

• Paldea, Interesting name but I’m rocking with it! This region map is extensive, which makes it more explorable for the open world-based game. Now there has been some outrage that it’s not entirely open-world that you can free-roam all over the map, but neither was Breath of the Wild in the beginning.

• Level-caps are another anticipated issue that some people have, especially Pokémon famous youtuber ADrive. The reason is fair though but first let me explain about level-caps.

• The level-caps are based for the gym leaders, meaning their Pokémon are to a set level no matter how strong or weak your Pokémon are. You can face a gym leader whose level-cap is 30, when your Pokémon are at level 70+.

Makes an entire mechanic disadvantage, but you can play your game how you want, this game allows it.

Although for me, I feel like they should at least upgrade it once you’ve beaten the game, perhaps in an update?

3 Story Lines

Victory Road:

The basic Pokémon game story line, where you challenge the gym leaders (not in order) while traveling the Paldea region. This is a new game with the same story line as previous generations.

Starfall Street:

Face off against trouble making students and their leader Mela. She travels or rides on her Pokémon that seems to take shape of an enormous vehicle engine but the engine itself is not the Pokémon. Quite interesting, it’s a battle against another Team Rocket.

Path of Legends:

Face off against Titans in their lairs or just gigantic Pokémon and acquire the “Herba Mystica”. Not much is known of rewards after beating this conquest but seems to be like alpha Pokémon in Legends Arceus but with a twist.

Now before you continue reading this blog, I have already played about 5 hours of gameplay, therefore I have some understandings of how the game mechanics’ work.

If you have not played the game, and don’t want to read about spoilers, I suggest you stop reading from this point.

Other cool features about the game are the separate version exclusives that you may have to trade with friends or buy the other version to obtain these certain Pokémon.

We also have paradox forms, prehistoric vs futuristic as the game itself is set on different timelines. This may bring a difference in abilities, and stats?

Level Capped:

This game has a set level for all the story modes, meaning if your team is lvl 50, the first gym leader’s team is still at lvl 15.

This may hold as an issue to some or make the challenges super easy as you overpower your team before facing against any challenges.

As always, play the game as you see fit.

Open World:

Let’s get into the open world concept. You may be thinking “Wow! I don’t have to technically battle the gyms, go to school, or unlock the story modes in general!”

Let me stop you and say, there are some setbacks, such as you won’t be able to swim across rivers, or oceans, and won’t be able to soar the skies without the Legendary Pokémon.

You can only obtain this Pokémon through the story mode and go to the Academy.

Pros About the Game:

• Easy to level up your Pokémon during battle or letting your starting team member roam freely to battle.

• Three different story lines, as this gives you more to do in the game making it more grinding.

• The open world concept, with Pokémon roaming about, I enjoy running around aimlessly hoping I’ll find a shiny.

• You can have multiple teams for different story lines, making the game more challenging.

• This game has a side quest, and possibly more that I just haven’t uncovered yet!

• The post-game adventure is supposed to be another challenge, making this game’s play time more worth it.

• This is everything a 90s kid growing up playing Pokémon has ever wished the game would be!

Cons About the Game:

• Glitches and lag, Nintendo paired with Gamefreak to create this game and it seems rushed to be put out on the shelves. Some people have even returned the game due to the constant crashes, bugs, and glitches.

• Story mode battles are level capped, so making it more challenging could involve more rules included to your play style.

• If you are not a fan of having to go back to school, you unfortunately must in order to complete the game and obtain the legendary.

• Small Pokémon are hard to see in the grass, and I find myself bumping into them quite often.

• Shiny Pokémon in the overworld (before battle scene) do not sparkle or make noise of a sparkle. Keep your eyes open for a shiny!

• People have reported having bad motion sickness with the freestyle camera, that you can control. Be careful if you are easily affected by motion sickness.

This game is in major need of an update, but I haven’t had many issues other than lag and some cliff walls warping as I run past them. Other than that, this game seems to be a hit or miss depending on some factors

• Game cartridge or digital copy
• Wi-Fi player, or not
• How packed your switch is of games

These could all be factors of defectiveness causing the glitches and bugs on your system. We can only hope Nintendo rolls out an update to fix these issues in the near future.

So, What Are These Stomach Issues Called?

There are quite a few different medical terms related to this very issue. 

• Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) 
• Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD)
• Colitis (Inflammation of the Colon)
• Gastroenteritis (Infection of the Digestive System)
• Pancreatitis (Inflammation of the Pancreas – Organ Involved in Fat Digestion)

These can give dogs more issues that begin causing external complications such as allergies, excessive itching, loss of fur, and more. 

Consulting with a vet about these symptoms can help get your pup back on a road to recovery, and one that is less painfully irritating.

Homemade Dog Food for Sensitive Stomachs

Your vet may discuss changing their food diet, giving them, some recommended food that helps relieve this issue. 

However, with prices spiking and costs are inflating through the roof, affording special made dog food can be hurting your budget.

Now don’t worry, there are still more options you have such as making your own. Cost effective, and able to make bulk amounts to hold your pup over for weeks can help your budget in the long run. 

Homemade dog food for your pup can relieve their symptoms but if symptoms persist you should probably consult with your vet of any other possible underlying issues. 

What To Look for When Making Homemade Dog Food?

• Easy to process diet that has moderate fat content, to help the digestive process work better.
• Small ingredients list, to help find what main ingredient is bothering your pup’s tummy.
• Single protein source diet.
• Grain-Free, grain is known to bother many dog breeds’ stomachs.
• Minimally processed foods, with little to no artificial flavoring.
• Nutritional foods to give you pup what they need in acceptable amounts.

Below I have included a few homemade dog treats that are safe for fur baby with sensitive stomachs.

• Healthy Dog Biscuit Recipe
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup canned pumpkin
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter
  • 2 tbsp. of dry milk
  • 1/4 tsp of sea salt
  • 2 1/2 cups of brown rice flour (labeled gluten free)
  • 1 tsp dried parsley (optional)
  • water

• Pumpkin and Peanut Butter Dog Biscuit
  • 2 1/3 cup brown rice flour 
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened pumpkin puree 
  • 1/4 cup natural creamy peanut butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • Pinch of salt

• DIY Tummy Soothing Dog Treat
  • 1/2 cup flaxseed meal 
  • 1/3 cup canned pumpkin
  • 6 tbsp coconut flour
  • 6 tbsp water
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil (melted)
  • 1 tbsp ground ginger

• Peanut Butter Oatmeal Dog Treats
  • 1/4 cup drippy peanut butter (all natural)

The vegan diet has increased in popularity as a healthier diet option for most. Finding vegan beverages and dishes have become more accessible within the past few years. The crave to be vegan is not only a fad, but also a lifestyle most are choosing to live. Being aware has become more important, since labels don’t always tell you the truth.

What Are Naked Smoothies?

The Naked brands products are not just smoothies but also juices. They provided an expansion of different varieties for on the go, whether it be at home, school, work, or the gym. The products are blends of fruits while others are a combination of fruits and veggies.

The brand Naked comes from the fact that they use no artificial sweeteners, flavors, sugars, and preservatives in their products. The sweet taste comes from the juices extracted from the fruit themselves. 

Pros

            So, what are the advantages for these smoothies? The most obvious reason is that it is on the go and can be used as a refresher or pick me up. It’s sweet, and quite delicious to the taste.

            If you are wanting your children to have their fruits and vegetables in a bottle this could be a great option. They will be begging to have more until the entire container is empty.

            The bottle is entirely made up of biodegradable materials, so it is 100% eco-friendly. Not only is it packed with nutrition, but it is good for mother earth as well. These are the big wins for a busy and calm lifestyle.

Cons

            Paying attention to the nutrition label is a must with these beverages. They may have no artificial flavoring and sugars but watch out for the natural sugars. The sweet taste comes from the blended fruits, making it extremely sugary.

            Yes, kids can have their daily fruits and vegetables for the day, but this drink will create a sugar rush, so maybe limit it down to once a week.

            This product is owned by PepsiCo, and we all understand how sugary the soft drinks are. Pay special attention to the label, and always research what has been added to what your intake. This drink is far from healthy even though it portrays to look healthy.

Vegan Friendly Naked Smoothies

  • Total Sugars – 42g
  • Protein – 4g
  • Calcium – 40mg
  • Potassium – 700mg

• Coconut Water

Per Serving:

• Calories – 40
  • Total Carbs – 10g
  • Total Sugars – 6g
  • Protein – 0g
  • Calcium – 50mg
  • Potassium – 420mg
  • Vitamin D – 0mcg
  • Magnesium – 15mg

I’m sure you are just as surprised as I am to learn that only 2 out of 21 products are vegan friendly. I feel as though the brand wants to portray as vegan based but upon looking further that is far from the actual truth.

            Diving into the ingredients list I decided to dive into heavy research to make sure their products were truly vegan. The findings will explain why 19 of their drinks were crossed off the list for being vegan friendly.

Suspicious Ingredients

• Milk

Some of these smoothies were scratched off right away, as they contained milk, which is a huge no. These are found in the protein shake smoothies, so that eliminates a whole section off the list.

• Vitamin D3, B12, B5

These vitamins are extracted from animal skins, making them unfriendly to our vegan lifestyle. These vitamins may not be in large percentages, no matter they are still above 0% which counts as non-vegan in my book.

• Thiamine

It is also considered B1, but the process doesn’t exclude meat and fish as being a source of where it is extracted from. This one is more so on the fence as to being added but can be found in some of the products.

Disclaimer

Even though these two seem promising, the only healthy drink without causing health problems down the road would be the Coconut Water. The sugars in these drinks are a major health red flag, and one shouldn’t consume daily. 

The only beverage worth drinking isn’t even a smoothie. The coconut water is the healthiest drink out of all. This contains coconut ingredients, so be aware of allergies.

            Further inspecting the containers, in today’s label marketing, if they were truly vegan friendly, they would have it labeled on their products. Marketing can be a dangerous game played, always be mindful of the words, and the nutrition labels.

            Changing a lifestyle is becoming harder these days, yet so easy with the right research done. Who knew vitamins could play a part in which way a product could go? Vegan or not vegan, always double check before you consume.

Conclusion

            Since 2 out of 21 products are vegan friendly, I would say the answer is on the fence depending on how you look at it.  With only 2 products being vegan but high in sugars I say it’s not worth the health problems down the line.

            Finding a healthier beverage on the go is highly recommended. Perhaps making your own smoothies is a healthier way to have a vegan drink. The only downside is that these homemade drinks are not quick grab and go.

Alternative Options

If you are wondering if there are any smoothies that are truthfully vegan friendly, you should give Evolution Smoothies a try. They are low in calories, sugars, and overall healthier than the Naked Smoothie brand.

This brand has 20 different blended options available at your local grocery markets and can even be found at some Starbucks stores. Below are some good options of the Evolution Smoothie brand.

• Organic Apple

  • Total Carbs – 36g
  • Sugars – 36g

• Organic Cucumber Glow
